Gambler’s Help attends 2018 Wimmera Field Days
Gambler’s Help attended the 2018 Wimmera Machinery Field Days, located at the Wimmera Events Centre in Longerenong, near Horsham. They were part of the ‘Sowing seeds for better health’ collaboration organised by the Wimmera Primary Care Partnership, along with 11 other partnering agencies.
As part of the collaboration, attendees could visit any of the partnering agencies, to be asked a question to go in the running to win a range of prizes. The question for the Gambler’s Help site was ‘How much do you think Australia lost last year to gambling?’ with the answer being almost $24 billion (Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation).
Gambler’s Help gave away a range of resources to attendees to promote the Gambler’s Help services and were available to answer any questions. There were many discussions around gambling and attendees could choose to participate in an activity to identify some early signs of gambling harm.
